A Night of Disney Magic with the Ladd McIntosh Swing Orchestra

COME DANCING WITH US AT CLUB 507 NEWHALL!

Ladd McIntosh brings his Swing Orchestra back to CLUB 507 for a second time to honor the music of DISNEY and his many personal arrangements — just for our swing dancers! You’ll be amazed at the great musicians making up this decades’ old, authentic swing band!

Here’s the line-up of musicians:
Glen Garrett – alto sax, clarinet, flute
Steve Ragsdale – alto sax, clarinet
Brandon Wilkins – tenor sax, clarinet
Steve Marsh – tenor sax, clarinet
Keith Bishop – bari & alto saxes, clarinet

Jon Papenbrook – trumpet & flugelhorn
Brad Steinwehe- trumpet & flugelhorn
Chuck Howe- trumpet & flugelhorn

Justin Kirk – trombone
Fred Simmons – trombone
tba – bass trombone

Matt Hornbeck – guitar
Paul McDonald – piano
Cooper Apelt – bass
Dick Weller – drums

Ladd McIntosh – arranger & leader
Nina Herzog, featured vocalist.

Thanks to the Santa Clarita community for supporting this new swing dance venue in the heart of downtown Newhall! Thank you for trusting that the bands we bring in will get you tapping your feet, bobbing your head, and swinging on the dance floor!

COSTUME CONTEST: Be sure to dress in your Disney best for the chance to win a free entry back to 507, or special Disney gifts! No full face coverings will be allowed into the ballroom — make-up is fine — just don’t cover your entire face.

And, as we always do now at the break, you’re all welcome up on stage for a memorable band photo! So much fun!

We’ll have a basic Swing Dance Lesson before the band at 4:15pm, so you’ll be able to dance as soon as the band plays — from 5-8pm.

A special Disney-themed dinner will be prepared by our own Ladies of the Auxiliary at the American Legion: Patsy and Laurie Stravino, and available for purchase. Menu for this event is a special Disney Meal: LADY & THE TRAMP SPAGHETTI — always prepared with love for our dancers — it’ll be delicious! As our regular patrons know, proceeds from these meals go directly to the remodel of the American Legion Kitchen, and we are grateful for our patrons’ generosity. And, if you’ve attended our events, you know that treats are always abundant.

Come see what all the fun is about in Santa Clarita.

Only $20 entry for this special DISNEY event.
Doors open at 4:00pm
Full Bar
Safe, lit parking lot
Sweet tile dance floor
Always treats

You do not need to be an American Legion member to attend. You do not need a partner — everyone dances with everyone!

About the Venue: Club 507 Newhall

Newhall’s Old Town District gets a New Dance Venue!

A former 1940s movie house, the current American Legion Post 507 is home to the Santa Clarita Valley’s newest hotspot for live music and dancing.

The historic building shares the parking lot at the Old Town Newhall Library at Railroad and Lyons Avenues in Old Town Newhall. Here, the New Club 507 hosts a lively mix of Blues Jams, classic Rock ‘n Roll groups, Big Bands, and Rockabilly bands all playing danceable favorites. Free dance classes are often provided to help beginners and advanced dancers keep busy on the dance floor.

The New Club 507 has free parking, a full bar, ample table seating, catered food offerings and a super-friendly crowd of music lovers and dancers.

The New Club 507 is located adjacent to the Newhall main library building in Old Town Newhall at 24527 Spruce Street (at 11th Street). Take Lyons Avenue east from the I-5 or Newhall Avenue then Railroad Avenue from the 14 Freeway.
