Johnny Shakes & the California Quakes

COME DANCING AT CLUB 507 NEWHALL! It’s another night of ROCKABILLY / BOOGIE! Easily adapts to East Coast Swing. Come try it! Have fun!

This may be the debut of The California Quakes, but Johnny Shakes has been on our stage at Club 507 a number of times. He’s played keys for the likes of JP McDermott! You’ll love his band — we’re proud to be bringing these guys up from the OC into the SCV! We believe you’re going to love their tunes — after all, Johnny knows what our dancers want!

He’ll be playing some rock ‘n roll classics by the likes of Elvis, Fats Domino, Chuck Berry, as well as some ’80s like the Ramones! You’re gonna love this band . . . you’ll probably wonder what took us so long to get them booked! Don’t wait any longer. Get a couple friends, and come dance with us!

Dress to impress in your favorite Rockabilly outfit.

Thanks to the Santa Clarita community for supporting this new swing dance venue in the heart of downtown Newhall! Thank you for trusting that the bands we bring in will get you tapping your feet, bobbing your head, and swinging on the dance floor!

And, as we always do now at the band break, you’re all welcome up on stage for an evening band photo! So much fun!

We’ll have a basic Swing Dance Lesson before the band at 4:15pm, so you’ll be able to dance as soon as the band plays — from 5-8pm.

Special $25 entry.

About the Venue: Club 507 Newhall

Newhall’s Old Town District gets a New Dance Venue!

A former 1940s movie house, the current American Legion Post 507 is home to the Santa Clarita Valley’s newest hotspot for live music and dancing.

The historic building shares the parking lot at the Old Town Newhall Library at Railroad and Lyons Avenues in Old Town Newhall. Here, the New Club 507 hosts a lively mix of Blues Jams, classic Rock ‘n Roll groups, Big Bands, and Rockabilly bands all playing danceable favorites. Free dance classes are often provided to help beginners and advanced dancers keep busy on the dance floor.

The New Club 507 has free parking, a full bar, ample table seating, catered food offerings and a super-friendly crowd of music lovers and dancers.

The New Club 507 is located adjacent to the Newhall main library building in Old Town Newhall at 24527 Spruce Street (at 11th Street). Take Lyons Avenue east from the I-5 or Newhall Avenue then Railroad Avenue from the 14 Freeway.
