Get ready to dance your socks off at our First Annual JUKEBOX JAM, Hosted by DJ Predicto, a known afficionado of especially swing music — but ALL danceable music from the 1920s on! This event promises to keep you on the dance floor all night!
We’ve got Roscoe Farnsworth (remember him teaching Swing at the old Derby?!) coming to teach some swift styling at 4:15pm. You won’t want to miss the opportunity to learn from one of the greats!
We have a new dance floor in the works here at the New Club 507. This event is a fundraiser designed to speed up the completion date, while offering a fun dance event featuring dance music from the past FIFTY years. The Jukebox Jam is a chance to hear and dance to half a century of dance favorites. It’s very rare to hear Benny Goodman playing one minute, and Talking Heads the next. DJ Predicto, who looks a lot like our Art Director Mike, will do his best to PREDICT the exact music you want to hear, and if you have a special request, let us know and we’ll do our best to add it to the mix. Swing! Disco! British Invasion! Motown! Western Swing! Surf Music!Jump Blues! Foxtrot! Early Rockn’ Roll! If you can dance to it, you’ll hear it here. And with your help, we’ll have a swingin’ new dance floor by Summer. So come on out Sunday, May 28th!
It’s a special $15 entry fee for this event.
Come dance and enjoy yourselves on an early Sunday evening. We’ll open the doors at 4:00, so you can get warmed up. Music plays until 7:30pm.
