It’s been nearly 20 years of Phat Cat Swinger, and the swingin’ big band prepares to celebrate its big milestone this Summer!
After every evolution over those 20 years, the band has continued to grow through their collaborative musical efforts.
MEANWHILE – You can experience the popular band in Newport Beach on Sat. April 16 at Campus JAX!
Entree required – JAX is a supper club, and menu items start at just $10. No drink minimums. Portion of the cover charge goes to Feed The Need, the Campus JAX outreach to feed the local homeless population. Over 15,000 meals served.
Phat Cat Swinger’s ingenious selection of songs range from original music to classic covers, from Sinatra to Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and beyond.
All ages, dancing, free parking, VIP seating, near John Wayne airport.

“Newport Beach’s only supper club”, Campus JAX features cabaret-style shows with dining, dancing, and seating at tables or the bar in an intimate listening room.
Christopher Burkardt’s Stellar Shows (some of you may remember their shows at Don the Beachcomber) puts on a good number of Swing-danceable bands there every month. There is a large stage and good dance floor.
It is a supper club so a purchase is required, but there is no drink minimum. Food is Cajun/Creole and gets an impressive four-and-a-half stars on Yelp. Dinner prices range from $10-$18. Of course, there’s also a full bar.
They put out multiple water tanks for dancers. Everybody has a seat – but you need not stay in your seats!
